"Automatically redirect to" - Problems on mobile (App Prototype) - not redirecting
Hi there,
I am currently working on a prototype and thought it would be nice to imply button press interactions.
App Prototype for the iPhone X.
This is how I did it:
- Step 1: Create a certain prototype page in photoshop
- Step 2: Copy the page and invert the pressed button (e.g. a submit button)
- Step 3: Upload both to the invision web creator
- Step 4: On the first page I implemented an instant trigger with no animation to link to the second page
- Step 5: Automatically redirect the second page with 50ms to my home page with a swipe left animation
Online on my computer it works just fine in the preview mode. However, when I open the same prototype in the inVision App, I get stuck on the "second page". It seems like the automatically redirection is not working.
I tried to be as specific as possible. Maybe someone faced the same troubles as I did and found a solution.
Help is much appreciated!

Hey Leon!
Thanks for getting in touch with us and I'm sorry to hear that the redirection is not working for you on your mobile. As a first step, can you please try deleting the app completely and downloading it again from the App Store? This would clear any cache which may be a potential culprit here. If that doesn't help, can you please provide us with a bit more information so we can dig deeper:
1. What is the name of the affected prototype?
2. What version of mobile OS (e.g. iOS 12.3) are you on?
3. What version of the app are you using? You can find this in Settings > InVisionApp.
4. Does the issue persist when viewing the prototype via a mobile browser?
Look forward to hearing back!

- Both your desktop and mobile browser details which you can find here.
- Your mobile device details.
- A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview.
- To clarify, have you also attempted to view your prototype in the InVision iOS app? If so, does the issue persist?

I have the same problem with redirects not working on the Invision mobile app. They work fine in the browser. I am on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 13.6. The Invision App is up to date.
Help appreciated,

Hi there
I too am having the same issue with a timed redirect. It is working just fine on my desktop preview, but on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9) in the invision app, the redirect doesn't work and I'm just left on the screen prior
Please advise.
Many Thanks
